Poland. Krakow and Concentration Camps.
Thursday, September 17th, 2009 | Uncategorized | No Comments
Poland isn’t what I expected. I expected cold, draughty, and poor.
It’s warm, sunny and very metropolitan. The shopping here is amazing,
it’s just a pity I hate to shop!
holding my shit together well until I saw the room full of childrens
shoes, stolen from murdered Jewish children. Visiting this place makes the statistics seem very very real, and very
terrifying. Lest we forget.
I AMsterdam.

Paris. I think I’m in Love. They have Star Wars toys!

So, I caught the Eurostar this morning with very little mess or fuss.
I’m not sure what I was expecting, however there was a lot less
worrying than anticipated.
the window and noticed some peanut driving on the wrong side of the
road!! IDIOT! And then I realised that I must be in France
already… Paris.
I get out of the train station, and walked into the best shop ever.
They had the best collection of Star Wars / Lord of the Rings
collectibles I’ve ever seen. I must have spent an hour wandering
around the shop picking my jaw off the floor, and trying not to
breathe all over all the cool shit they had. I also found some church - I think the locals are proud of it, because
there was a whole heap of people milling around. As it happens, there
was a whole heap of gypsy beggers as well. Notre Dame. Way cool for
something so old. It would have been so much better without the 15kg+ backpack attached
to me… Perhaps I can hire an Oompa Loompa to follow me around
Europe?
London - for those of you following the progress.

London. You either love it, or you despise it. I frequently do both.
When its a blue-sky day, I love it. It’s a divine city. When the 20:43 train to Epsom is delayed by over 70 minutes, and I’mstuck outside in the freezing wind without a scarf or a jacket, I
think it’s the stupidest city on the planet and all 20 million
inhabitants are complete idiots.
