In Bris-vegas!
Hey there world.
Sorry I didn't post for a few months, but you know what it's like when you move hemispheres.
Mr Frog and I moved into a little house (4 bed, 2 garage - small!) a few weeks back. I was beginning to despair, because I was an unemployed bum. The highlight of my day was taking the dry washing off the line, ironing it, folding it, and putting it away. Housewife or what. The bad thing was that we didn't have a tv, so I couldn't even watch Burt Newton, or Dr Phil.
Just say no to domesticity. BAD HOUSEWIFE! BAAAAD.
I tried looking for a permanent job through the Control Engineering degree that I've got, but that's about as worthless as the IT degree. Bastard. I so totally should have done dentistry or something. Have you heard how much those tooth-pulling bastards get paid??? Damn it.
So, anyway, I'm now in a 2mth temp job (which is totally thrilling - which is why i'm writing you an essay). I'm in the middle of the city, a few blocks from QUT, and I can JUST see the lights of the Gabba. Which is probably the silver lining on a huge ugly grey cloud of a situation. Temping is never much fun. Although, I'm on the right network, as there's a heap of half decent IT jobs posted here. They're all pretty cruisy, although I'm still daydreaming about starting my own biz. Got to be something I can sell that will earn money - cant even sell my body these days! (Mr Frog wouldn't pay me very much...)
Things going well on the home front. Mr Frog's settling into his new job, which I'm relieved about. There was a horrible moment, when we both thought that we'd made a horrible mistake... thankfully that thought didn't linger long.
