Morning

Morning

Well... I had a great Friday night.
Concannon won the footy, which makes their winning streak well over 5 years, possibly 6 or 7. It also means that they are yet to lose a game in this years Residential Shield. Whooopa. With any luck, I'll be able to see the Green Machine get up for one last victory in my final year of Uni.

Dinner at the Cody-Morris household and then onto the Downs to watch people get shloshed. Myself, having the best excuse in the world, was content with a pot of light beer, and a cup of diet coke. In all, it was quite good... Chatting to everybody, avoiding the ice fights, and scoping the crowd for people I didn't know. I saw one guy with a leather jacket that held my interest for longer than a glance... but then, I think it was because the rest of the crowd were all dashing around in dirty jugby jerseys, or throwing ice at each other. I was too shy to approach him... but not shy enough to start to groove with Miss Anne's Ex (not the one thats engaged), when he randomly twirled me about in time to "Grease Lightening"... Ahh... Chick Logic. It defies explanation.

From the Downs Pub back to Concannon, I had finally decided to go out. The Rec Hall was having a big night, so I stuck around there for a little while, drinking the Hard Stuff (read: Diet Coke). My Ex was there, so I didn't feel totally at ease. Yet another reason why I didn't go and talk to Leather Jacket Man.

I'm a dork, I really am. One minute, I'm jumping on a table leading a chorus of "Better Man", and the next, I'm shuffling my feet while turning a violent shade of pink just because I cant go up and talk to some stranger. Yeah. Uh huh. That makes total sence.

What is that about? I can stand up on a stage and make myself look like a total fool without batting an eyelash. Put me in a one-on-one conversation with somebody I dont know and I'm a puddle on the floor. Totally useless.

Next time, I wont be so gutless. Next time, I'm going to stick out my hand, shake his, and say "Hey! I dont think we've met before! I'm Jacqui! How you going?" and dazzle him with a winning smile.

*blink*

Chances of that actually happening? I'm giving it a 70-1.
