Hi Sweetheart,
I'm sure there'll be a lot of tears in N.Wales for a few days. It was nice they could all get together and talk over old times and what they could all remember about Aunty Ol. I understand Scott's mixed feelings at being asked to be a bearer.... it's going to be really hard for them ..... your dad was a bearer at his dad's funeral and he found that extremely difficult to do. It's a hard ask.
What's wrong with Ross' throat ? I know he hasn't sounded too good for a while... has he strained the vocal chords or got polyps on them or something? He got into hospital pretty quick so it must be something fairly serious.
It was nice of Cynth to suggest you not see Aunty Ol in hospital...... you will have nice memories of her now. I hope John gets through the ordeal OK. I hope he keeps himself busy gardening and not staying at home by himself for too long. It may stop him worrying/thinking too much. I'm sure his little old ladies will look after him, they've been around a long time and know how to help.
Good to hear you have taken the job in London. Do they know you are coming back for your grad ? You'll just have to pack what you can in our backpack to go back to Peterborough/Harrow and then when Ron and Chris and you go back for the funeral you can pick up what you had to leave behind.
You should start to look for somewhere to live, sometimes it's not all that easy and I don't think we've found anything easy in the UK have we??? !!! Nothing has fallen in our laps!! If you have to put some more money on your mobile phone and use that to ring places during the day.
Met the guy who owns Unit 7 yesterday. I asked him if he was the new owner and he said he was the owner but he has always had it !!! He said he was doing it up to attract a better type of client !! He said he was spending $8000 on it and I wasn't quick enough to say ...
"well after 15 years that was still only $500 a year and that isn't bad!!"
Hopefully, we may get some pleasant people in. Anyway must finish off. I started off to go to the shops around the corner for a paper but got waylaid!!
Say hello to everyone and I am thinking of them,
LOVE YOU HEAPS
Mum. XXXX

Hey there Mum.
Last day at work today... I made a dozen scones for morning tea, to say thankyou. The ladies here have bought me a nice card to say cheerio, which I'm rather chuffed about. It's also red-nose day, so I went to Sainsburys last night and picked out a hideously ugly little red nose-beast!! It has fuzzy hair and googly squishy eyes. I found out they were squishy the wrong way. I accidently poked the poor little thing in the eye and my finger sunk into the eye socket!!! *ewwww* But, it's happily sitting on my computer desk now, so its now supervising my work!
Trying to get a program to work before I have to leave, so I may very well blow a fuse by lunchtime and have to resort to photocopying or something mindless to get me through the day. Damn VB. Damn Excell.
I dont know what's happening about London. Grant is going racing on Sunday, so I was going to stick around to see him fall off the bike a few times before walking around Wrexham on Monday sorting all my stuff out. By that stage, it'll be pointless trying to go to Peterborough on Tuesday, only to turn around and come back on the Wednesday.
I'm going to miss this place though. I just wish that London wasn't so far away. No doubt I'll be all sniffly on Wednesday from the funeral, so god only knows what I'm going to be like when it comes time to put my pack in the car.
I need to ring Ian (Ian Brown, my new boss - from Tassie!!!) and tell him what's going on. I'm a little scared at starting a brand new IT job! What if I dont know anything???
Brief update: Program has been vanquished. I rock. Perhaps I do know something.
I dont really know how to help John and Cynth at the moment, so I'm just being myself. I baked scones. I cleaned the kitchen. I laugh and joke as normal. A lot of the time I feel really awkward and left footed.... I haven't really had to deal with anything like this before, so now I've been thrown in it THREE TIMES(!!!) since I've been here!! I think Grant is trying to deal with it on the quiet, so I'm just keeping him company in case he wants to talk about it.
Anyhow, before this ruins my 'Last Day' good mood, I'll go.
Love you heaps and heaps.
